There came a point in WBC’s street ministry where our attention was turned by our God to His killing of america’s soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq, and this nation’s worshipping of those dead bodies. So, we began to picket those patriotic pep-rallies. Almost immediately, a group of veterans, calling themselves the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR), began to organize to oppose WBC. - In February-March, 2006, Ed Lavandera from CNN arrived on the scene in Topeka, KS, shortly thereafter to cover WBC’s ministry to the nation. His job was to report the story, not make the story. He attended a funeral picket in Topeka and Dodge City, KS. Like so many in the media, he slandered WBC (calling them despicable and backwards) and pimped the PGR, giving false hope to the nation that they can stop the word (and thereby the wrath) of God.

- When WBC praises God for killing Doomed america’s soldiers, we are executing the judgment written against this nation by a raging mad God. Ed Lavendara should have published WBC’s words without his slanderous commentary for which he will give an account to God on the Judgment Day. "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment" (Mt. 12:36).
